Three Things to Consider When Choosing a Social Media Strategy
Catherine Weber, CEO, of Weber Media Partners (and one of my advisors) is asked all the time how to approach social media as a small business owner. Catherine has boiled it down to three questions:
- What are you trying to achieve? Branding? Leads? Direct sales?
- Who are you trying to reach? Consumers? Business people? Others?
- What resources do you have? People? Time? Money?
She recommends you answer these three questions before launching into the social media realm.

Susan:
To expand, these three questions help you to narrow down the tactics and tools to those that are appropriate for your audience.
For instance, Facebook is a tool to reach consumers rather than businesses. If you sell consumer products and services, that is a good place to start. LinkedIn, on the other hand, is a business tool.
Rather than expand on this here, do what Susan suggests and visit our blog at http://www.impressionsthroughmedia.com
